Angela’s Picnic 2010

5 04 2010

So I attended Angela’s Picnic this Easter Sunday.

From the NOC site:

The event was started by Angela Heinz, who owned a pink Morgan, and was involved in
Morgans for a large part of her life. When she was first diagnosed with cancer she
decided that she would like to combine her love for cars with an event where money
could be raised for Cancer Research. Angela was a remarkable lady who arranged this
totally laid-back, uncompetitive picnic in the park to give car enthusiasts the opportunity
to see a variety of very special cars in one place. Angela died from her cancer some
years ago.

There are usually a huge variety of classics and rare cars in attendance with something for everyone. Visitors and exhibitors pay a donation at the entrance and all the money raised goes to hospice.

I’m busy uploading some of the pictures I took onto Flickr as I type this.
